Are you stressed out but lack the motivation to change? Is it difficult to control your emotions, or do you feel numb, resulting in struggles in your relationships, work, church, and other areas of your life? Does change or the thought of change and trying new things cause feelings of chaos or fear or do you find yourself making excuses why change is not possible? Do you feel like you are constantly trying to find reasons to justify your existence?

If so, know that you are not alone. I am passionate about creating a safe place for you to experience healing as you struggle with some of life’s most difficult challenges. I would love to be invited on your healing journey.

Experienced in working with most ages, I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan— and I want to get to know you! My experience has taught me that counseling is most effective when it is relational versus transactional and collaborative versus prescriptive. Education and transparency are two very important values that inform my approach to your healing.

Collaboratively, we will blend trauma-informed and person-centered approaches to ensure you receive personalized resources, and early on we will identify and integrate your personal value system into the therapeutic process. To support your healing, I borrow from some of the best evidence-based treatments available, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioral Counseling (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Counseling (CBT), and Solution-focused counseling (SFT)—–among others.

I approach treatment holistically and believe that we are all works in progress. You are NOT ‘broken’ and I cannot ‘fix’ you. I merely get to be a part of your journey to empower you as you identify steps to reduce your distress, increase self-advocacy, and improve relationship experiences with positive and assertive communication. This is a joint venture and we’re in this together!

Connecting with a therapist is a very personalized process. I hope I’ve provided you with a sense of connection with me and my practice. I welcome any questions you may have and hope to join you in your healing process soon!

For those who are struggling with relationship issues, marriage counseling can help you identify areas that are creating negative patterns and help you with improvements in communication, intimacy and open new paths to dialogue in key areas.
